Architectural asphalt shingles typically last 25–30 years. Standing-seam metal roofs commonly last 40–50+ years. Lifespan depends heavily on ventilation, underlayment quality, and the condition of the sheeting underneath — corners cut on those reduce a roof's life by a decade or more, which is why we don't cut them.
Both are excellent when installed properly. Shingles cost less up front and look classic on most homes. Metal costs more but lasts roughly twice as long, sheds snow better, and can lower insurance premiums in some areas. We install both and will help you weigh the trade-offs for your specific home and budget.
Yes. We come out, inspect the work, and provide a written, itemized estimate at no cost. We respond within one business day, and we don't use high-pressure sales tactics.
Active leaks and storm damage get priority response — usually on-site within 24–48 hours. If a leak is causing interior damage right now, call us directly rather than using the form.
Yes. For storm or hail damage, we document conditions thoroughly with photos and written reports, and we're happy to work directly with your adjuster. We'll tell you honestly whether a claim is worth filing.
Fully. We carry comprehensive liability insurance and WSIB / workers' compensation coverage on every crew member. Certificates are provided on request — many of our contractor partners require them on file.
Material warranties come directly from the manufacturer (typically 25–50 years on shingles, lifetime on quality metal panels). On top of that, we back our installation workmanship — if anything fails because of how we installed it, we fix it.
Our estimates are line-itemed: tear-off and disposal, underlayment, ice-and-water shield, flashing, ventilation, materials, labour, and cleanup. No surprise charges — if scope changes mid-job, you hear about it before we proceed.
Yes — a meaningful share of our work is sub-trade for GCs, custom-home builders, and renovation specialists. We can open a trade account with portfolio pricing for repeat work.
Tarps go down before tear-off. Materials are staged off-driveway when possible. We run a magnet sweep daily and again at the end of the job to pick up stray nails. Your home should look like we were never there — minus the new roof.
